Black Isle Cares is a charity registered in 2015 to facilitate improvement of care services on the Black Isle, especially for our older population.

We work with the NHS and our Care partners Highland Home Carers. We are governed by a group of volunteer trustees.

Purposes of Black Isle Cares are:

  • To support adults with health and social needs and their carers, to identify gaps in provision and seek ways to fill these.
  • We connect with existing initiatives and liaise with voluntary organisations to co-ordinate activities, including the Highland Senior Citizens’ Network, of which we are a member.

More widely in the Black Isle, provide public benefit by:

  • Promoting social inclusion, equality, diversity and active participation.
  • Provide training and employment and making local services more accessible.

Methods of Delivery:

Through identifying weaknesses in current provision of care in the home, intermediate care, care homes and by working with other agencies to effect sustainable provision.

Our services:

Meals on Wheels
