We are proud to announce that the Black Isle team consisting of: Donald Angus Ferguson, Abigail Ferguson, Stuart Patience. Jordan Hossack, Greg Matheson and Steven Stewart not only completed the punishing 10k obstacle course, known as the Loch Ness Beast Race 2017, but also managed to raise the huge sum of £800 for Black Isle Cares.

They may not have come first but they are our champions for sure.

It looks like they had a lot of fun along the way!

Donald says:

“The race was one of the most enjoyable experiences of our lives, and the fact that people from our home villages will benefit from it makes it even sweeter.  Our average finishing time was 1hr and 30 minutes.  We did get separated from each other and finished at different times but Stevie Stewart showed us how it’s done by beating us by a whole 10 minutes at least!  All six of us will compete in the Beast Race next year with our partners and friends who want to get involved too.  We raised £800 this year and next year we have set a target of £1500.”

Well Black Isle Cares thanks all six of you for your training, commitment, competing and your amazing fundraising.

Well done and we look forward to next year’s race and the fun photos that follow.  Great work!
